Topsy-Turvy Turtle Love
April 16th, 2006 by Rico Penguin
I knew you before I met you
No way I could forget you
In my dreams before I dreamt
Inside my heart you were kept
Oh what a melancholy
to realize all these lies-
of the past are fully missed
the understanding not withstanding
Oh baby I knew you before I met you
I dreamt each night that I’d get you
That you’d choose me from that pond
I’d swim sideways if I had to for you
Where are we on this empty afternoon
work the only jerk to bother us
the only thing to cause a fuss
but I find you’re like wine
Get me drunk off your smell
hot boxing off you in my shell
dancing inside a stationary hide
this facade is so odd
I may frown
I may cry
But I’ll never hurt inside
with you by my side
